When is our regional competition?

Our regional competition is Saturday, April 27^th

When does registration open and close?

Registration dates for the 2019 MATE Bermuda Regional ROV Competition have not yet been set. Please keep an eye on the registration page for more details.

Where will the regional competition be held?

Our regional event will be held at National Sports Centre

How many teams can a mentor bring to compete?

Organizations may bring up to a maximum of three teams

Can we bring spectators to the competition? Are there any rules about who can spectate?

Yes, spectators are welcome! This event will be free and open for the public to attend. Families and friends of competitors can view much of the Challenge from the bleachers, and there will be information available about the other educational opportunities BIOS offers. The concessions stand at the National Sports Center will be open during the Challenge.

What time does the event start?

Our event runs from 9:00AM-2:30PM

What time is team check-in?

Team check-in begins at 8:30AM

When are our Company Spec Sheets and SIDs due, and where should we submit them?

RANGER TEAMS: Please email these to the Regional Coordinator with your technical reports^st ALL OTHERS: Please turn in to the Judges' table on April 27^th.

What is the depth of the competition pool?

Pool depth is from 1.2M for Beginner and SCOUT and 5.4M for Ranger teams.

Are there any pool missions listed in the class manuals that will be excluded from our regional?

All SCOUT and RANGER tasks will be in the product demonstrations. Any task modifications will be sent directly to team leaders.

Do we need to supply our own power supply for our ROV?

No, all power supplies will be provided by the regional.

Will there be monitors for us to use at the competition?

Competitiors must bring their own monitors.

Will there be food served at the event? Is there a fee for food?

A Pizza lunch is provided to competitors, mentors, and volunteers. Spectators are asked to bring their own lunches from home, or purchase from nearby restaurants.

Something has gone horribly wrong and we can’t compete. How do we cancel?

Please contact your regional coordinator as soon as possible. Please note, there are no refunds on registration fees; nor can they be applied to future competitions.
